Vandread: The Second Stage

Sci-FiEcchi2001GonzoRating 7,413+HD

They beat the giant Earth battleship, and for one bright moment it felt like the war might actually end. Then five more ships appeared, all of them pointed at Mejeiru and Tarahk. Home. The crew of the Nirvana finds out their own planets are being culled, picked clean like crops, and the trip back suddenly cannot go fast enough. A girl named Misty comes aboard with news from Earth, and the news is worse than anyone imagined. This is not a fight they can win by knocking out one ship. The enemy keeps pressing harder, Earth's plan for the colonies gets clearer and uglier, and somewhere in all of it the Vandread itself shifts into a final form nobody was ready for. Can they reach their homes in time to save them? And what happens between Hibiki and Dita when there might be no tomorrow to figure it out?
