She was built to be the perfect weapon. A virus called CP4 rewrote her genes and turned her into the deadliest soldier the government had ever made. Number 044. Her body pays for every enhanced reflex and every impossible shot: her life is running out, one day at a time, and no one up top seems to care. Then comes the order to wipe out Phage, a bloodthirsty squad serving a man called King. Simple job for someone like her. Except she freezes. One of King's soldiers, Luka, is standing in front of her, and she cannot pull the trigger. She has no idea why.
