A pack of thugs is beating up a shy computer nerd until a loud stranger steps in and saves him. That is how Manabu Taira and Haru Tennouji meet, and somehow the two opposites click right away. Years later, Manabu still cannot get through a single job interview without stumbling over his words. Haru can charm anyone, from a toddler to a yakuza boss, and he lands a spot at Dragon Bank, one of the biggest IT firms in Japan, with Manabu tagging along to apply. Only Manabu gets rejected. So Haru quits on his very first day and tells his friend they are building their own company instead, with one insane goal: a trillion dollars. They pitch the idea to investor after investor, and every single one of them laughs them out of the room. Then Kirika Kokuryuu, the Dragon Bank director who had been watching them, makes an offer of her own. Two broke guys with zero business experience, a pile of rejections behind them, and now a powerful woman willing to bet on them. What could possibly go wrong first?
