Chizuru has finally worked up the nerve to end things. Yuudai is sweet and serious, but he has never once said what he feels, and she is tired of guessing. So she shows up to their first Christmas together ready to walk away. Then he hands her a box. Inside is not the rabbit he meant to buy. It is a tiny donkey, full of energy and impossible to control, and it bolts the second it gets the chance. Chizuru chases it. Yuudai loses sight of both of them. Now the two of them are apart on the one night that was supposed to matter. He wanted to tell her everything and kept choking on the words. She wanted a reason to stay and never got one. Every small thing they should have said to each other is suddenly miles away, running through the streets on four tiny hooves. The donkey seems to want them back together. Nobody asked it. Can two people who keep missing each other actually learn to say what they mean?
