Kurt Rockhans is fifteen, kind, and completely useless in a fight. He trips on flat ground. He cannot finish off a slime. For years he has been the errand boy for Flaming Dragon Fang, an SS rank party, fetching their gear and cleaning up after them, and he was fine with that. Then they kicked him out to make room for someone stronger. Just like that, the kid who bragged about nothing had no job and no way to eat. He starts taking any work he can find, because who hires a boy who cannot swing a sword? Cleaning, hauling, cooking, mixing potions. Turns out Kurt is not just good at all of it. He is off the charts. Yulishia, an adventurer who used to work for the royal family, watches him and cannot believe her eyes: the scrappy helper is SSS rank in everything except combat. A court official tells her to hand him a high position in the kingdom, a quiet life with nothing left to worry about. Kurt shrugs it off. He will not put himself above anyone. So he keeps scrubbing floors and chopping vegetables, unaware that every odd job drags him closer to the center of the kingdom's fate. How long can a boy stay invisible when the whole court already knows his name?
