The Skull Man
A skull-faced killer is stalking Otomo City, and the bodies are piling up. Gangs, crooked cops, even things that aren't quite human: nothing in the underworld feels safe. Tokyo journalist Hayato Minagami and photographer Kiriko Mamiya arrive to cover one of the murders and figure the story will take a week. It doesn't. Dig past the first police report and the whole city starts to stink. The elite who run Otomo have secrets stacked so high they turned the place into a tomb just to keep them buried, and the Skull Man keeps digging them up, one corpse at a time. Hayato and Kiriko are chasing a predator while the ground shifts under them. Every witness lies. Every alley leads somewhere worse. So who is the man behind the bone-white grin, and what happens when two reporters get closer to the truth than the people who buried it ever intended?
