A Go stone. That's all it took to yank Gu Hai out of the twenty first century and drop him into some unfamiliar world. He doesn't panic. He goes into business, and before long he's the merchant everyone fears to cross, a man whose coin and cunning can move armies. Then war breaks out. The Chen Kingdom is staring down the Song, and it's about to be wiped off the map, until Gu Hai starts drawing up strategies and spending his fortune to keep it breathing. That's when a celestial fairy notices him. She hands him a mission, and just like that, the board he's been playing on gets a lot bigger. What's waiting down that road looks less like a reward and more like bloodshed, with the whole world caught in the middle. Now he's stuck between doing the right thing and protecting the people he cares about, and those two don't line up the way he'd like. Can he finish what the fairy asked, and if he does, what exactly is she planning to show him next?
