A meteor broke apart in the sky long ago, and one shard landed on the Eastern Continent. People crowded around the strange totem marks carved into it, trying to work out what they meant. That is how the Path was found, and the Tradition was born. Thousands of years later, a fourteen year old orphan named Chen Changsheng walks away from his master with nothing but a marriage contract in his pocket. He has a sickness nobody can name, and a plan to outrun it. Then the capital happens. Rich brats with sharp tongues, a mysterious girl he ends up taking as his disciple, and duels he never asked for. The boy just wanted a cure. Instead he gets dragged into fights with people, with a dragon, and with the heavens themselves. Somewhere behind all of it is that meteor and the marks nobody has fully figured out. So what happens when a sick kid with a piece of paper decides he is done letting fate push him around?
