Rehearsals, training camps, competitions, festivals. Kumiko barely noticed how fast it all went by, and now she is a third year. Yuko and Natsuki have graduated, and the club presidency lands on her shoulders. Her job: take Kitauji to nationals. To get there, the band needs gold at regionals again, and not the consolation kind this time. The real one. The one that opens the door to a hall full of bands from all over the country. Then a transfer student walks in. Mayu Kuroe, gentle smile, effortless euphonium. She came from Seira Girls' School, a band that goes to nationals like it is routine. Friendly enough.
