Lina Inverse and Gourry bump into Zelgadis and Amelia again, and before anyone can even say hello properly, the four of them are already wrecking some king's grand plan to take over the world. Same crew, same chaos. Then Zelgadis lets slip what he is really after: the Claire Bible, a book packed with secrets, and maybe the one thing that can turn his stone body back into flesh. The others invite themselves along whether he likes it or not. A priest named Xellos shows up out of nowhere, all smiles, claiming he knows exactly where to look. Here is the problem. Xellos does not make the trip easier, he makes it worse. And somewhere behind the scenes, the monsters have their own plans for that book, plans where Lina and her friends are not just bystanders but pieces on the board. So who is Xellos really working for?
