Takagi and Mashiro finally have their own serialized manga. Detective Trap is running in Shounen Jack, and the two of them are officially in the game. For Mashiro, though, this was never the finish line. He made a promise to Azuki: once their manga becomes an anime, they get married. So every chapter he draws is really a step toward her. Then the ground shifts. The editorial team swaps out their editor for someone young and untested, and suddenly the guys are navigating assistants, schedules, and a whole new set of rules with a stranger watching over their shoulders. It gets worse. Eiji Niizuma is still out there cranking out genius pages like it costs him nothing. Aoki and Nakai are hungry. Hiramaru would rather nap but keeps winning anyway. Fukuda is loud and not going anywhere. Every single one of them wants the top spot in the magazine, and only one series can hold it. Mashiro and Takagi have to keep Detective Trap alive, keep climbing the rankings, and somehow push it all the way to an anime. Can two kids who just got their first real shot hold the line against rivals who never slow down?
