Ittoki Sakuraba just wants to be a normal high schooler. But his mom keeps weirdly close tabs on him, his uncle is always lurking, and his childhood friend Kousetsu practically lives in his shadow, watching every move he makes. It feels suffocating. Then a cute second year named Satomi Tsubaki asks him out. Finally, something good. The date goes fine until she invites him to her house. That's when the knives come out. Tsubaki isn't a sweet girl with a crush, she's an assassin, and she brought help. Ittoki barely survives. His uncle and Kousetsu show up in dark ninja gear to pull him out, and suddenly all that smothering attention makes sense. His mother finally tells him the truth. He's the 19th heir of the Iga ninja clan, and the rival Koga clan wants him dead. The only place that can keep him alive is Kokuten Ninja Academy, where he has to learn fast because the war has already started. Trust no one, they tell him. Anyone could be a traitor. So who in that school is actually on his side?
