A storm washes a girl onto the shore of Wyndaria. She has no memory, no feelings, nothing but a name, Kaguya, and a pendant glowing at her throat. Rick pulls her from the water. He runs a bakery now, kneading dough instead of swinging a sword, though he knows exactly what it means to wash up somewhere with a blank slate. Three friends took him in the same way once. Then the pirates show up. They want the stone around Kaguya's neck, and they are not the only ones: dark mages are sniffing around too, and the quiet island stops being quiet fast. Rick's coworkers Nellis, Amyl and Aerie roll up their sleeves and pitch in, so the bakery crew has to figure out whether it can also be a rescue party. Ovens by day, blades by night, more or less. Can a handful of bakers and one retired swordsman really protect a girl who cannot even remember what she is hiding, and what happens when the past finally comes knocking for her?
