Miyano likes his quiet life. School, student council work, and a secret he guards carefully: he reads boys' love manga, and nobody in his class can ever find out. Then a fight breaks out in the schoolyard, and an older student named Sasaki wades in to break it up. Miyano figures he is a responsible, kind of cool guy. Wrong. Sasaki turns out to be pushy, tactless, and completely shameless, and he keeps telling Miyano how cute he is. He will take any excuse to get close, and Miyano starts to dread every time that voice calls out to him. One slip of the tongue and the secret is out. Sasaki hears what kind of manga Miyano reads. Instead of laughing, he asks to borrow a volume. Miyano hands one over reluctantly, expecting the worst. Sasaki likes it. He comes back asking for more. Now they have something shared between them, and Sasaki keeps finding reasons to stay close, and Miyano cannot tell if this is a joke, curiosity, or something else entirely. The annoying upperclassman is suddenly hard to read, and harder to ignore. Miyano wants to keep his distance, but Sasaki is already too close, and every borrowed book pulls them further into each other's orbit. What is Sasaki really after?
