Hikari Tsutsui wants nothing to do with actual humans. Games and anime treat him better, and honestly, his classmates return the favor by mocking him daily. His only ally is Yuuto, a cat-ear-wearing diehard who is just as hopeless. Then a late arrival lands Hikari with pool-cleaning duty, and his partner turns out to be Iroha Igarashi, the girl every other girl despises. She skips class, hangs around with boys, and has zero manners. Everything he cannot stand, basically. So he keeps his distance. Iroha, though, does the opposite. She shows up whenever he is in trouble, shrugs off the nasty rumors he spreads about her, and sticks around anyway. Slowly it dawns on him: a real girl might actually like him back. Terrifying. Now he has to figure out how to say what he feels, and she has to drag him out of his shell without breaking him. Two outcasts, one very messy first relationship. Can a guy who has only ever loved 2D characters hold on to something this real?
