On a quiet beach somewhere off Okinawa, a would-be novelist named Shun spots a gloomy high schooler staring at the water. Mio. Shun walks over and says hello. That's how it starts. Mio is orphaned, keeps to himself, and spends his free time by the sea. Shun is gay, out, and has been cut off by his parents for it. Day after day they drift closer, until Mio drops the news that he has to leave for the mainland. Just like that, he's gone. Three years later Mio comes back. He's twenty now, and he has returned for one reason: to tell Shun he thought about him the whole time he was away. Shun's life isn't the same as it was. A lot has shifted while Mio was gone, and standing in front of him now is a man with a confession, not the boy from the beach. Shun still feels it too, that much is clear, but wanting someone and being ready to build a life with them are two different things. So what happens when the person you never forgot comes back and asks for everything?
