At the foot of Mount Fuji sits Buou Academy, where katana drills share a campus with modern tech and the Tokugawa Shogunate still runs the country. Sixteen year old Muneakira Yagyuu transfers in from a family of sword instructors, expecting classes. Instead he walks into a brawl, a prophecy, and something weird in the sky. A girl falls out of that light. Her name is Juubei, and before he can ask a single question she kisses him. That kiss flips a switch inside her: a power nobody at the academy can explain, and suddenly everyone wants to know what he is. The student council president and his sister Sen, who happens to be Muneakira's childhood friend, are watching all of this closely. So are the Master Samurai, the only thing standing between Great Japan and whatever is coming for it. Now the boy with no answers is stuck at the center of a fight over the whole country. Who is Juubei really, and why does his kiss wake her up?
