Sakamoto Days
Tarou Sakamoto used to be the name that cleared rooms. Other hitmen idolized him. Villains prayed they never crossed his path. Then he met a woman, and she made one thing clear: the killing stops. So he quit. Five years later he is heavier, slower, and flipping rice balls at his own corner store, with a wife and a little daughter who thinks dad is just the guy behind the counter. That quiet life shatters fast. His old partner Shin shows up out of nowhere and plants himself inside the family, under one strict rule: no killing, ever. Then a bounty lands on Sakamoto's head, and every assassin in the business comes looking for easy money. They think the legend went soft. They are wrong. The apron comes off, and the reflexes are still there, sharper than anyone expects. Shin fights beside him, the family stays in the crossfire, and the rule against killing gets harder to keep with every attack. How long can a retired killer stay retired when the whole underworld wants him dead?
