Release that Witch
An engineer dies in a modern city and wakes up as Roland, fourth prince of Graycastle, a medieval backwater of filth, hunger and inquisitors. A witch named Anna sits in a cell, waiting for his word to die. He gives a different order and saves her instead. Then she shows him what she can actually do, and his head nearly spins: this is not superstition, this is a power source. So he starts collecting witches. Everyone in the kingdom wants them burned, he wants them working. Anna and the others haul Border Town out of the mud, and Roland throws in everything he remembers from his old life: guns, trade, factories, a little industry powered by spells. The nobles and his own royal siblings are not thrilled about a playboy prince who suddenly builds things and wins over the common folk. His lands grow. Witches and ordinary people start living side by side without anyone reaching for a torch. But the deeper he digs, the stranger the questions get: who are the devils, what is the Witch Empire, and what exactly is waiting for him once the whole of Graycastle is his?
