On the continent of Polyphonica, humans and spirits share the same streets, and the only thing that binds them is divine music. Played by dantists. Foron Tatara is a student at the Academy of Divine Music, still fumbling his way through, and Corticarte is the spirit he has to learn to understand. Both of them are just starting out. Neither one is any good at it yet. Then terrorists start hitting cities, and fear spreads faster than any song can answer. Foron and Corticarte are stuck in the middle of it, two beginners with more homework than power. Can they figure each other out before the next attack?
