Mizuki Hijiri just wants to blend in. New school, new classmates, nothing weird. That plan dies on day one, when a boy named Yamato Noda mistakes her for a fellow chosen one and announces it in front of everyone. Now the whole class keeps its distance, like she carries something contagious. So when the class rep suggests asking the Hero Club for help, Mizuki figures it can't get any worse. It gets worse. The club room holds four boys deep in their own made-up universes. One is a righteous hero who leaps into other people's business. One insists he's the forbidden child of a demon and an angel. One is too busy swooning over a cartoon girl to notice real ones. And one just quietly schemes from the corner, which might be the strangest thing of all. Instead of fixing her reputation, they make her the newest member. Mizuki wanted ordinary. She got these guys instead. But underneath all the grand speeches and imaginary powers, the friendship is oddly real, and her days keep getting louder. Can a girl with zero interest in heroics survive a club that treats every school hallway like a battlefield?
