Two brothers, Toru and Noboru, are the last of the Mizuchi line, and that blood has been monster bait for centuries. Their grandmother knows it. So when the family's power starts to thin and the older brother is the one in danger, she does something drastic: she breaks a seal that should have stayed shut. Out comes Kugen Tenko, a fox deity who was locked in a stone shrine ages ago for being too wild. Elemental magic, sure. But also a habit of flipping between man and woman whenever it suits. She also sends Ko, her shrine keeper, to move in with the boys and keep an eye on all of it. Two kids, a moody fox spirit, one shrine maiden, one house. Now every ordinary day turns into damage control, and the deity meant to protect them is the hardest thing in the house to manage. Can two brothers really keep a power like that under one roof, or is the fox the one who decides how this ends?
