One Piece
A whirlpool nearly swallows him whole, and seventeen year old Monkey D. Luffy washes up in a barrel, bobbing along until he lands on a ship already crawling with cutthroat pirates. He grins. He is not scared of them. Twenty two years earlier the World Government captured Gol D. Roger, the only man to ever sail the entire Grand Line. When they strung him up to die, he told the crowd where he had hidden his treasure, the One Piece, and dared the whole world to come find it. Thousands of pirates set sail after that. None came back with it. Luffy wants the same prize, and the title that comes with it, but right now he has no crew and no real ship, only a rubber body and a stubborn refusal to quit. So he starts picking up strangers, one oddball at a time, and sails straight into the teeth of the Grand Line, where the enemies get bigger and the secrets get darker the further in they go. The sea does not care about his plans. Can a kid with a grin like that really make it all the way to the end?
