Oh! Edo Rocket
In mid-1800s Edo, the city councilor has squeezed all the joy out of life. No luxuries, no fun, and definitely no fireworks. Seikichi Tamaya makes them anyway, quietly, with his friends, scraping by under laws that would rather see his craft vanish. Then a girl walks into his shop. She is odd, she does not explain much, and what she asks for is flat out impossible: a firework that can reach the moon. Seikichi should laugh her out the door. Instead he starts thinking about it. Gunpowder, after all, only goes so far, and the sky is not exactly a short walk. Around him the councilor's men keep tightening the screws, his friends have their own troubles, and this girl keeps coming back with that same wild request. So what does a fireworks maker with a banned trade and a mouth to feed do when someone hands him a job that defies gravity itself?
