Risa Hanakago has spent a lot of time watching other people fall in love. She likes how it seems to make everything around them glow. Her own life is quieter. No confessions, no one waiting by the shoe lockers, nothing. Then the school empties out one day and she is not alone anymore. Touga Yuugure is there, the boy everyone seems to know, and somehow he notices her. They talk. They click. Just like that, the two of them are a couple, which is exactly the part that makes no sense to anyone watching them. She is plain, he is popular. People talk. Maybe they are right to. Can something like this actually hold together, or was it only ever a strange afternoon in an empty building?
