Ririchiyo Shirakiin is done being a doll. The heiress of a famous family, small and pampered and shadowed by servants her whole life, she wants out. But there is a catch: she has a tongue like a blade and no idea how to talk to people. So she moves into Maison de Ayakashi, a locked-down residence that takes only approved tenants. Everyone inside is half youkai, and so is she. One rule comes with the room: a Secret Service agent has to guard her. She said no. She got one anyway. Soushi Miketsukami is handsome, quiet, and deeply, uncomfortably devoted to her every whim. Then she learns the truth: he is a fox spirit she once saved. He remembers that day. She does not. Add nosy supernatural neighbors and the first day of high school, and her grand plan for independence is already a mess. Can a girl who insults everyone she meets ever learn to trust the one person who refuses to leave?
