Tadayasu Sawaki just wanted to get through his first year at an agricultural university in Tokyo. Then there's the small matter of his eyes. He sees microbes. Not through a microscope, not in a lab: yeast, mold, the fungus between your toes, all of it floating around him as tiny cute creatures only he can notice. He picked the school without giving his ability much thought. That plan falls apart fast. A professor catches wind of what Sawaki can do. His name is Itsuki, fermentation is his thing, and he doesn't just get curious. He drags Sawaki and his best friend Kei Yuki straight into his research, which is less about textbooks and more about the strange places a man can find yeast. Sawaki's classmates and teachers are odd enough on their own, honestly. Somehow he's the normal one. So he's stuck between a professor who wants to use him and a campus full of eccentrics who barely blink at him. The microbes are always there, whether he likes it or not. But can a guy who sees the world this way ever go back to ignoring it?
