Miss Monochrome runs on one AA battery. That is her whole power source, and she spends her days in a black and white outfit with a robot vacuum named Ruu-chan as her only company. Then the dreams start: strange, looping visions of the idol Kikuko, and Monochrome decides she has to meet her, which means becoming a star herself. So she goes for it. Her methods are odd, to put it mildly. She hires her manager straight out of a convenience store, and somehow every weird stunt she pulls shoves her into the spotlight anyway. She keeps climbing, keeps getting noticed, keeps chasing a dream she cannot fully explain. But can a girl who lives off a single battery really make it to the top of the idol world, or is she going to run out of juice right when it matters most?
