Hikaru just wanted a normal life. Then he pulled a crying mechanical arm out of trouble, and it fused with his jacket instead of his body. Now a sentient weapon named Alma rides around on his clothes, which is not how any of this is supposed to work. Arms like Alma belong inside people. The Kagami Group only sees them as tools and wants Alma back. ARMS, the outfit that protects these creatures, takes one look at Hikaru and writes him off as a lost cause, so they stick Aki on babysitting duty. She has two mechanical arms of her own and zero patience. Then Jun Kagami shows up and rips both of Aki's arms out of her, leaving her to die slowly on the ground. Hikaru refuses to just watch that happen. Something inside him snaps awake, and suddenly the guy with no talent is the one standing over Kagami. He joins ARMS for real after that, but the win came at a cost he still does not understand. What exactly is Alma, and why did it choose a host it was never meant to have?
