Hikaru was just a regular high school kid until a powerful, clever mechanical limb called a Mecha-ude moved in. Now it lives inside his hoodie. Not a pet, not a gadget. A partner with a mind of its own, and his old life is gone. Then ARMS drops a girl named Aki into his path. She carries two Mecha-ude of her own, and they pop out from under her skirt. Loud, headstrong, the exact opposite of him. She is supposed to guard Arma, the rare Mecha-ude fused to Hikaru, but she is hunting someone too: a Snake-Type wielder who has already put her comrades in critical condition. Meanwhile the Kagami Group is quietly chasing a myth called the Trigger Arm, said to hand over unlimited power. When they come for Aki, Hikaru has to stop hiding behind his hoodie and fight. More users keep showing up, each chasing the secret behind these creatures. Can a kid who never asked for any of this really keep Arma out of the wrong hands?
