Episode 12 · Manyu Scroll

Manyu Scroll

In the Tokugawa era, a woman's chest is her entire future. A big one buys you wealth, fame, respect. A flat one gets you treated like you barely exist, and the Manyuu clan makes sure that never changes. Their secret scroll holds every trick for growing a bust and cutting someone else's down, and for generations they have guarded both the scroll and the order it protects. Then the heir walks off with it. Chifusa, raised to lead the clan, steals the scroll and vanishes, sick of the world her own family built. She is not alone: Kaede, a fellow warrior, goes with her, knowing full well what that costs. Now the Manyuu want them dead, and the two of them are out there trying to reverse the harm their kin have done across the land. Chifusa has something else going on, a strength far past anything her training gave her, and it may be the only thing that can tip the scales. Can two fugitives really tear down a system that has decided a woman is only worth the size of her chest?
