Daigo Shigeno finally has his head straight again, and now he wears the captain's armband for Fuurin Middle School. Him and his old classmate Mutsuko Sakura figure they can actually build something here. Then reality hits. The roster falls apart and what's left is six kids: Daigo, Mutsuko, Yayoi, Tao, Seira, and Hiromu. Mostly girls, almost no experience, and not a single coach on the field. New recruits Akira, Anita, and Chisato show up, but they don't exactly click with the group right away. There's friction, there's doubt, and there's the small problem of barely having enough players to field a team. Daigo promised a friend he'd meet him at the tournament. Keeping that promise means holding this whole thing together before it falls apart. Can a six-person squad with no coach and a bunch of rookies who don't trust each other really make it to their first tournament?
