The old band was done. So guitarist Yuki and drummer Santa went looking for something louder, something that would bury everything they'd left behind. They pulled in Towa, a bassist already sharp from playing in Neon, then Atsuro, a high schooler with fast hands and no fear. The singer took the longest to land. When they heard Sakuya's voice, they knew no one else would do. He said no. They kept asking anyway. Lucifer was born out of that stubbornness. Then the fliers went up and the real fight started. Small clubs, cheap gear, a business that chews up new bands and spits them out. Every member has something dragging at his heels: parents who want a son with a real job, old bandmates climbing faster and waving from the top, cracks forming between the five of them. Sakuya carries the worst of it. His past is a wreck he won't talk about, and the only person he lets close is Aine, a teenage girl who writes lyrics for him. Five guys, one name on the marquee, and no promise it lasts past the next show. Will Lucifer make it to number one, or will everything they built fall apart before Sakuya even learns to trust the people standing next to him?
