Maigahara Senior High has a reputation to protect. Generations of gifted musicians have walked its halls, and the school never lets you forget it. So when word spreads that anyone who puts on a knockout performance at the festival gets extra credits, half the student body starts tuning instruments. Maybe it is just a rumor. Maybe not. Either way, nobody is taking chances. Serina Akesaka is not one of the gifted ones. She is a first year with failing grades and zero musical background, and that rumor sounds like a lifeline. So she goes recruiting: four girls, one band, no plan worth mentioning. Nazuna, Aliciana, Hakobe, Nagi. They barely know each other. They have got until the festival to turn five strangers into something that can hold a stage. The grades are the excuse. The music is the part nobody saw coming. What happens when five girls who signed up for extra credits accidentally find the thing they were meant to do?
