Two girls step off a train into a city that hums with noise and color. Escha is the quiet one, Chron can't stop asking questions about everything she sees. They've been traveling for nearly a year, and they come from Terminal, a place of snow and silence where the world has gone gray. Here's the strange part. The city around them, which they call Transit, isn't just some new stop on the map. Every song they hear, every stranger they help through a rough patch, seems to send a ripple back to the frozen place they left behind. Bit by bit, Terminal starts to wake up. The two of them drift through record stores and street corners, and each person they meet carries something they've almost forgotten how to feel. What are Escha and Chron really looking for, and what happens to Terminal when they finally find it?
