A battered space station drifts silent, its crew gone, its cargo hold sealed tight. Gren takes the job because he is good at this, maybe the best bounty hunter around, and his sister Iria comes along to learn. She is young, quick with a weapon, and not afraid of much. The team boards expecting a rescue. Instead they find something waiting. The cargo they were sent to protect is alive. Zeiram. The most dangerous thing in the galaxy, a creature nothing seems able to kill, and now it is loose inside the station with them. Iria watches her brother and Bob get dragged into a fight that was never part of the plan. What started as a simple job turns into a desperate run through dark corridors, and the thing hunting them does not stop. She wanted experience. She got a war instead, one she never asked for and cannot walk away from. So how does a trainee hunter survive something that has wiped out everyone who ever faced it?
