Ikebukuro runs on its own rules. The cops stay out of it. Gangs own the streets, and when they butt heads, someone has to step in and talk them down before things turn ugly. That someone is Makoto Majima. He knows every back alley, every bar owner, every hothead with a grudge, and he keeps the peace with help from the G-Boys, the biggest crew in the district, led by Takashi Andou. Charismatic. Ruthless. Not a guy you cross. Then a new outfit called the Red Angels starts pushing into G-Boys territory, and the whole balance tilts. Suddenly there are enemies everywhere, and not all of them are strangers. Some sit close enough to share a drink with Makoto. He keeps fixing problems, one by one, until he starts noticing a pattern behind them, something bigger being set up in the shadows. A war, maybe. One that could swallow the entire district whole. And when the violence finally hits him where it hurts most, when he loses someone he loves, the man who always talked everyone else down has to decide what he even is anymore. Can he still keep the peace, or does he let Ikebukuro drown in blood?
