A year has passed since Yuno first dragged her boxes up the stairs of Hidamari Apartments, and now she is the one showing the rookies around. Nori and Nazuna just moved in, wide-eyed and clutching their acceptance letters for Yamabuki Art School, and everything in that creaky old building is strange to them: the shared bathroom, the paper-thin walls, the way Miyako bursts into rooms without knocking. Yuno knows exactly how they feel. She was there not so long ago. Then a small shift happens. Yuno is in her second year now, Sae and Hiro in their third, and somewhere along the way the quiet girl who could barely introduce herself became someone the new girls look to for answers. Hiro still cooks enough for an army. Sae still schemes. Miyako still treats every deadline like a rumor. But Yuno catches herself giving advice, and it sounds almost confident. The real trouble is not exams or paintings or surviving another winter in a drafty apartment. It is growing up at different speeds in the same tiny courtyard, where two of them are already thinking about what comes after Yamabuki while the other two have only just arrived. Will the four of them still be sitting under that same roof when the next spring comes around?
