Fena has spent years on a small island called Shangri-La, her white hair and pale skin making her a spectacle the locals call the White Curiosity. She is 23 now, and her keepers have decided to marry her off to a wealthy client. On the wedding day itself, veil on, bouquet in hand, she is already planning her way out. Two faces from her past crash the ceremony and whisk her away to the open sea. They land on Goblin Island, home to a clan of warriors, and everything Fena thought she knew about herself starts to crack. Her father did not simply die in a shipwreck a decade ago. He was hunting for a place called Eden, guarding something he could not leave unprotected, and the only clue left behind is a clear crystal. Fena is the one person who can follow it. Yukimaru, the friend she lost all those years ago, is suddenly standing in front of her again, telling her to go. She cuts off her long hair and takes command of a crew of seven, sailing toward a place that might not exist. Strange groups are already hunting her, and each one seems to know more about Eden than she does. Can a girl who spent her whole life locked away really outrun everyone who wants what her father died protecting?
