Senku has a plan to cross the planet and find out where that green light came from, but first he needs a ship. So the old crew of Tsukasa starts hammering together a hull. Fast work. There is just one problem: nobody on board knows how to actually sail the thing. Then they dig up Ryuusui Nanami, heir to the biggest shipping empire on Earth. Arrogant, loud, impossible to like. Senku wakes him anyway. And Ryuusui catches on to something immediately: in this new world, nobody owns anything yet. Which means he could own all of it. He will steer their ship, sure. But only after he and Senku track down oil, the one fuel strong enough to push them across open water. So who ends up holding the wheel when the real voyage starts, the scientist with the grand plan or the guy who wants the whole ocean for himself?
