So when her best friend gets dumped for a guy, Eiya insists on meeting the two of them face to face, mostly because she can't wrap her head around it. At a cafe, Yuuga Oota says he'll answer her questions on one condition: she has to figure out what's going on with the couple sitting across the room. She nails it on the first try. That's when he decides she's worth talking to. He brings her somewhere private and tells her about SCM, a small device that turns people into slaves. Two users face off, the gadgets mess with their heads, and whoever loses walks away unable to disobey the winner. Yuuga wants to test himself, so he asks Eiya to be his safety net. Ten million yen, one job: if he loses, talk his new master into letting him go. She hesitates, then says yes, because something in his offer matches the itch she's had her whole life. Then an organization starts collecting slaves at a scary pace, and Eiya realizes she's in way deeper than a friendly bet. People are losing themselves to these devices, and the game keeps getting bigger. Can she pull Yuuga back before someone else owns him for good?
