In a future Japan, the air outside is so thick with bacteria that people wear gas masks just to cross the street. Order falls to the Tank Police, a squad that rolls through the city in actual tanks, guns and all. Leona Ozaki signs up, and on day one she has to figure out her new crew: Brenten, the chief, a priest named Simpu, a mechanic called Megane, a mohawked officer, and Al, her tank's second driver. Nobody makes it easy for her. So Leona builds her own ride, a tiny tank she names Bonaparte, and joins the hunt for the gang boss Buaku and his Puma Sisters. Can a rookie in a mini tank really take down the most wanted crook in Newport City?
