Three years have passed since the gate to the Digital World slammed shut, and Taichi and his friends have drifted into high school life. Everyone seems to know where they are headed. Everyone except Taichi. The old crew barely hangs out anymore, each one busy with their own thing, and on a day when he has a soccer match and Yamato has a concert with his band, Mimi lands back in Japan from America for a visit. Then a Digimon bursts into the city and starts wrecking the place. Taichi runs after it before he can think, and it corners him fast. His Digivice lights up, Agumon appears, and together they take the thing down. But why did it come here at all? And what does any of this have to do with Meiko, the new girl who just transferred into his class? Word gets around that something is infecting Digimon in the Digital World, and the partners have all come back to their kids. The pressure piles up: the media, the whispers, the fear. Taichi and the others are glad to see their old friends again, but none of them are ready for how heavy this is about to get. Can they pull themselves together before it all falls apart?
