Taichi just wanted to pack for summer camp. Instead, traffic lights across Tokyo start blinking like they've lost their minds, screens go fuzzy, and the news calls it a cyberterrorist attack. Then he gets the call that matters: his mom and little sister Hikari are stuck on a train that won't stop, somewhere near Shibuya. He runs to help them. He doesn't make it there. One moment he's on the street, the next he's standing in a place made of data, face to face with a small orange creature named Agumon who greets him like they've met before. Agumon hands over a device called a Digivice. Through it, Taichi can still reach the real world, and what he hears isn't good: virus-like Digimon are chewing through the systems that keep Tokyo running, and if nobody stops them, the damage won't stay on the screen. So a fifth-grader and his new partner have to fight their way through a network full of troublemakers, with his family still trapped on that train and no clear way home. Can Taichi really save a city from a threat most people can't even see?
