Summer break is almost over, and Fumiya Tomozaki has his schedule figured out: get popular, keep grinding at Attack Families, and maybe, finally, get a girlfriend. Aoi Hinami, the class star who has been coaching him like a personal trainer for real life, keeps reminding him of exactly that. Then school starts again, and Hanabi Natsubayashi, his sweet and painfully naive friend, becomes a target. Someone decides to make her life miserable. Here is the part that stings. Aoi, who reads people like patch notes, just does not see it. Or will not. Tomozaki wants to chase his own goals, but Hanabi is crying, and he cannot just walk past that. So he drops everything, and this time he is not some lone player grinding in a corner. The friends he has collected along the way step up with him, all of them refusing to let one girl's youth get ruined by a bunch of cowards. And somewhere in the middle of all this, he has to ask himself the harder question. If the person teaching him how to be liked cannot recognize when someone is being hurt, what exactly is he learning?
