Natsuo can't stop thinking about his teacher. Hina is bright, kind, and completely out of reach, and every class she teaches just makes it worse. So his friends drag him to a group mixer to cheer him up. There he meets Rui, a girl about as thrilled with the whole thing as he is. They talk, they click over being awkward, and then she takes him to her place and asks him for one thing: sex. No feelings, just experience, so her friends will stop treating her like a kid. Still hung up on Hina, he says yes. It ends there. Or it should. The two agree to forget it ever happened and go back to being strangers. Then Natsuo's father sits him down with news: he's getting remarried, and the new wife is coming over right now. Fine. Except her daughters are Hina and Rui. The teacher he loves and the girl from that night are about to become his sisters. Now they all share a roof, and every dinner, every hallway passing, gets heavier. Natsuo has to figure out what he actually feels, and whether any of it can survive being lived under the same roof. How long before someone in this family says the thing nobody is supposed to say?
