Baki Hanma just clawed his way out of a bloody underground tournament, and his real goal has not changed: beat his father, Yuujirou, the strongest man alive. Then Tokugawa shows up at his school with worse news. Five death row inmates, martial artists all, have broken out of prisons scattered across the globe at the exact same moment. They are coming to Tokyo for one reason. Each of them wants to finally feel what losing tastes like. So the kid who has been fighting since he could walk is suddenly the hunted one. These men are not tournament opponents with rules and a bell. They are killers, and Japan's finest martial artists are on their list too, not just Baki. What starts as a chase turns into an all out war between the respectable fighters and the ones who crawled up from the underground.
