Episode 2 · Asura Cryin'

Asura Cryin'

Tomoharu just wants a quiet life in his brother's old house. That plan falls apart fast. A girl he doesn't know hands him a locked briefcase, says nothing useful, and vanishes. He stashes it in a closet and figures he'll deal with it later. Then the yakuza come through the door. Then a pack of religious fanatics. Bullets start flying, and Tomoharu is running through his own hallways with a briefcase he can't open and a ghost named Misao hovering at his shoulder. Misao has been dead for a while now. She is also the only person he trusts, which tells you something about his options. So he opens the thing. And whatever is inside changes everything: the briefcase, the girl he lost, the reason strangers are willing to kill for it. Tomoharu starts digging, but every answer pulls Misao deeper into the middle of it. Why would a briefcase have anything to do with his dead best friend?
