Ruri is on her way to the entrance ceremony when she spots a girl dangling from a bridge, her blazer snagged on a steel beam. That girl is An, who climbed down to rescue a puppy and got stuck for her trouble. Ruri pulls her up. An hits the water anyway, and comes out grinning. That smile sticks with Ruri longer than it should. Then the class list goes up, and both of them land in 1-7. This is where the school dumps everyone with rotten luck, bad health, hopeless crushes, all of it, and calls it the Happiness Class. Ruri figures there has been a mistake. She is normal. She is fine. Right up until the afternoon her new friends find out the one thing she has been keeping to herself, and she realizes she is standing in exactly the same boat as the rest of them. So now there is a room full of girls trying to fix their lives, and none of them are any good at it yet. Can a bunch of people this unlucky actually make each other happy?
