Episode 2 · Ankoku Shinwa

Ankoku Shinwa

Somewhere beneath Japan, in the dark where nobody looks, an old god is turning over in his sleep. Susanoah-oh, the God of Darkness, is waiting for the day he gets to be born again. Most people have no idea. They go to work, they eat dinner, they sleep fine at night. Then the signs start showing up. Members of the Kikuchi clan, the descendants of Japan's very first inhabitants, notice them first. They have old knowledge and older artifacts, and they know exactly what it means when hell's spirits begin to gather. So they arm themselves and go looking for one thing: a young boy who fate picked out to hold the destructive power of the gods. He doesn't even know yet. He is just a kid. Now the clan has to fight its way through everything the underworld sends up before the boy is found, or before he is found by the wrong side. Ancient rivals from prehistoric times are awake too, still guarding secrets they killed to keep. Can a handful of investigators with dusty relics really stand between a sleeping god and his second chance?
